The Betta Fan Club is exactly what it says, a place for people to get together who love Bettas. But it's much more than that, because we love other fish as well, so it's not just for betta lovers, but for fish-keepers in general as well.

There will always be a focus on our beloved bettas, and we aim to give out as much information as possible about the huge range of species, morphs, care and breeding as possible, highlight the endangered and rare and help to protect them.

In doing so, we have grown to realise that it's not just bettas that need this kind of help, but many species of fish!

This fan club was started in early 2007 by a young man in the U.S.A. who loves his pets. It started small, like most groups, but is now building in popularity and membership.

As it grows, the information is becoming more extensive and better.

The range of fish that we cover is also expanding, as new members join and add their knowledge. We have now started sections for Angels, livebearers Tetras, Danios and Barbs, with plans for many others being worked on.

Over the coming months, out Articles will grow to cover some of the essentials as well as species specific information.

We are building a Complex sheet, to list all the different species of Betta and their requirements and habitats, and where known, their breeding habits and methods of breeding in captivity.
